COVID 19 HSE
During the Covid-19 pandemic it can be difficult to know what to do if you need medical help or advice from your family GP Practice. The Phoenix Medical Clinic continues to be here for you.
You may have concerns about an injury, recent or long term problems and, or worries. As always, we are here to help, guide and support you with all your healthcare needs.
If you think you need to see a GP or nurse, please contact our practice 045 850060 (press 1 for reception).
First, we will ask you short, yet important questions regarding any symptoms of Covid-19 then we will advise you if we can give advice over the phone, by video consultation or if you need to come into the surgery and see one of our GP Specialists or Practice Nurse in the surgery.

If we need to see you face to face in the surgery this will be explained to you when the appointment is made.
We are currently updating our IT system whereby soon you will be able to to make and pay for your appointments online.
Currently we can send your repeat prescriptions directly to your pharmacy as per GDPR. In the interest of your health and safety, please be advised that all patients need to periodically review repeat prescriptions with the GP. Our administrative staff can alert you to this.

If you have a high temperature, a continuous cough and think you may have coronavirus, please do not come into the Clinic. Please phone us immediately and we will advise you.
The most up to date advice on treating symptoms of Coronavirus is available on the HSE website www.hse/conditions/coronavirus
In a serious or life-threatening emergency, such as loss of consciousness, severe bleeding that can’t be stopped, signs of a stroke, chest pain or major trauma you should always call 999 or 112 (free of charge numbers). or go directly to your nearest A & E Department.

We know it can be difficult not seeing family and friends during the corona virus outbreak and it is impacting us all differently, so it is really important we take care of ourselves.
HSE has many useful resources for looking after your wellbeing at home,
